Port Jobs is a nonprofit organization based in Seattle, Washington. We research and create programs that increase access to living wage jobs, fostering a more vibrant and equitable economy for residents of and businesses in our area.
Our areas of focus include the building and construction trades, airport employment, transportation and logistics, financial education and low-income car ownership.
Port Jobs created Financial Tools for the Trades in 2005. We have disseminated more than 10,000 Financial Survival Guides to apprenticeship programs across the country. In the Seattle area, Port Jobs and Wells Fargo have taught Financial Tools workshops to more than 1,200 apprentices.
Taking what we've learned, Port Jobs developed the Trainer Toolkit so that apprenticeship programs in other areas can teach money management to their members.
